Tucson Counseling Associates is a teaching facility that provides clinical supervision and training to associate level clinicians in a private practice setting. Additionally, we facilitate workshops and training for community members as well as professionals interested in working with clients in alternative relationships/lifestyles or psychedelic integration.”

“Psychedelic IntegrationWorking from a harm reduction perspective, we offer non-judgmental counseling and guidance to clients in developing healthier relationships with the tools they choose to work with. Psychedelic medicines are now being used for a variety of reasons, including trauma resolution, therapeutic and spiritual exploration, creative problem solving, and much more.Many people have eye-opening and mind-expanding experiences using psychedelics, and without professional support in integrating new awarenesses, uncovered memories, previously hidden traumas as well as many of the gifts from these experiences can be forgotten or under-utilized.We offer short term (6-8 sessions) therapy for integration.Individual, Relationship and Family CounselingWe are available to take clients in person in office in Tucson, AZ for brief and ongoing therapy. Common issues we address are depression, anxiety, stress management, low self-esteem, grief and loss, PTSD, childhood traumas, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, psychedelic assisted therapy, sexual orientation and gender identity exploration, alternative relationship models, polyamory, non-monogamy, infidelity, mistrust, communication, and sexual issues.Ketamine Psychedelic Integration Group
We will share information about Ketamine and other psychedelics, allow time for participants to process and ask questions about non ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC), and provide therapeutic tools for integrating their experiences with psychedelics with a focus on ketamine. The group will be facilitated by our therapists Erica Saunders and Brittany Dorsey. The cost is on a sliding scale for our KAP clients and $25 otherwise.Psychedelic Meditation ConsultationMeditation has been shown both anecdotally and in research to promote wellbeing and serve as a beneficial adjunct to therapy. A consult can serve to start or enhance a current meditation practice.Coaching & Consulting ServicesSome people don’t want to engage in long term therapy but prefer to get more information or guidance on one specific issue. Coaching/consulting is appropriate if a client is simply looking for information or resources. During the initial session we can decide if your concern would be best suited for consulting or therapeutic services. This service is available no matter what the location of the client as telehealth can be utilized.Clinical Supervision & Continuing Ed TrainingsWe have taken the necessary continuing education credits to be clinical supervisors that help other clinicians seeking licensure in Arizona. We have multiple supervisors approved with the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and we also provide monthly continuing education trainings for or staff and professionals in the community on a variety of topics.DreamworkDreamwork is an excellent accompaniment to receiving psychotherapy, particularly when one has hit a bit of a plateu and is trying to navigate what to work on.
